I like that is it that tall actually. It gives Edmonton a very distinct skyline now and a more Australian vibe than most Canadian cities that are all verging on tabletops (from a distance) now. Kelowna has a chance to be interesting form-wise for a while, but needs another ten buildings in the 12 to 15 story range to fill it out a bit.

Great photo!

I'm still trying to get used to Surrey having a skyline. For decades, nothing would puncture the sky there, and then within seven years, it's about to give skylines like Metrotown a run for its money.

yeah it's just all of a sudden seems to have happened. This is from the rooftop parking at the Safeway on Austin in Coquitlam on a phone, a proper camera could get some decent shots from up there.

Thanks for the location. If I'm in the area with my camera, I'll definitely take a few shots. It's a great vantage point.

that Italian flyby team did that in Vancouver a couple days before, people were so mad about it, cause of the noise and the smoke trails. lol.
Anyway there was no advanced notification that it was going to happen so most people were also pissed that they were not told about it to go see it. I found out about the Edmonton the day before it happened, much better social media coordinators for Edmonton than Vancouver. Nice pics.

They will be in Moose Jaw tomorrow (lol), and Toronto August 1st. Seems they did Ottawa Hull back in June part of a North American tour paid for by the Italian Government. And ya I agree, do we need to pump out smoke trails into the air? I won't pretend to know what's in them, but they can't be good for air quality.

Unique angle for a Winnipeg shot. Great photo!

My favourite photos of the TO skyline are always from the Toronto Islands.

I've been out to the islands two, maybe three times (many more if you include Billy Bishop), and have always loved the radical downshift from hectic city life when you get out there.

They provide housing?

They also have a cool pattern on the balconies...

^ I definitely agree about the housing part.

Fair enough about the housing but they're too damn big and prominent. That *sighs heavily* sugar design on the balconies looks stupid on what, from the lake if nowhere else, appear to be the tallest buildings in a city like Toronto. I wouldn't care if they were in Mississauga. I wouldn't care if they were in Yorkville. But please, not on the damn waterfront blocking the view of better looking buildings. I don't want to be all "thEy'Re rUINing thE SKyliNE" but I guess that's exactly what I'm saying.
