WTH-- The Michael Graves building beyond looks nothing like that and there's a suburban highway interchange and a forest in the middle of Midtown. These architects should stop using SimCity to generate existing buildings--

Nice streetscaping, although I wish street level retail were on both streets, not just one street.

More than likely they're outsourcing their renderings to China....you get the general idea of the context. Otherwise we (and/or the client)don't care if some of the background buildings aren't quite what they're supposed to be.

I see that Isakson's 55+ project in Peachtree Hills is finally going forward. They tore down those old apartments about 10 years ago and the land has just lain fallow ever since.

Not the most exciting thing but I'm sure the locals are glad to see this get underway.

If I'm not mistaken this property is right on the Beltline.

I think Alta Midtown is pretty close to topping out. It must only have a few floors to go.

There is retail on two of the four sides... what do you mean "both?"

Both streets in the rendering. I'm presuming W. Peachtree and Peachtree Place have retail?

Oh, yes, Peachtree Place is the other street with retail... not surprising that 8th and Cypress are going without, as they're basically alleys. That rendering almost makes 8th look like a boulevard but that's not accurate at all.

Just walked back from Publix and counted the corner balconies on the south-east corner (the corner closest to Cypress). They are currently at 12 and the rendering shows 13. However it looks like there's an extra floor above it that doesn't have a balcony (likely a two-floor penthouse suite).

The Buckhead View reports that Branch Properties has submitted a proposal for a 19 story residential tower with 251 apartments above ground-level retail at Peachtree and Terrace Drive. Apparently the site is just north of the Peachtree Battle shopping center.

There's a site plan but no renderings.

It was bound to happen, but it's a shame the amazing view down Peachtree toward Midtown south of St. Philip's will be blocked by this. Oh well, progress I guess.

I don't think it's going to block it actually. Those power lines need to go ASAP! I thought all of Peachtree from Downtown to Buckhead were being "Beautified".

You might get the very tops of the buildings, but from street level you're not gonna see much.

No one will be looking at Midtown once 2520 Peachtree goes up.

Just imagine what BIG would have proposed to preserve this view.....

It kills me that they were allowed to have a curb cut on Spring Street with this project. It helps slow down vehicular traffic on Spring, which is great, but it also will create a game of Frogger for the pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk. With how fast the cars travel on Spring Street, I'm sure most of the residents will go barreling into the Spring Street entrance at a very high speed and narrowly miss pedestrians on a daily basis. With additional driveways on Peachtree Place and 8th Street, I don't understand why the Spring Street driveway was necessary.

Great photo. I have always loved that view.

West Peachtree Street, not Spring.

Curb cut on West Peachtree Street is a right out only, so there will not be cars screeching to a halt to turn in since it will only serve as an exit.

That doesn't take into account the elevation. Andrews Drive is at 936 ft, Peachtree Battle at the north is at 840 feet (a drop of nearly 100ft). The building is estimated to be 225 feet high. 14th Street in Midtown is back at 975 ft. With the distance and 135 foot difference between elevations, the apartment tower from Andrews drive should fill empty space in this shot and keep the buildings visible. From road level the building will be covered a bit more, but you don't get this view from road level anyway.

As a person who makes and or commissions renderings I would find it totally unacceptable-- and would not enjoy looking like a fool in front of my clients or the general public.
