Wow indeed. That's incredibly amateur, and I'm sure it's resulting in very expensive change orders DeSimone is on the hook for.

I figure Palmisano comes out of this ordeal both richer and looking incredibly competent. How often in the past have local firms made the national firms look so 2nd rate? Not often!

Two weeks ago, the LHC announced the awards for the 2019 CDBG-DR Piggyback round. Of note, two mixed income projects at the Brown's Dairy site were approved.

Interesting to see the list of project here. Nearly 200 apartments on that Brown's Dairy block of OC Haley should make for some pretty large buildings.

I believe the Lake Forest Project is the high-rise at 10101 Lake Forest Blvd., which has been an eyesore for a long time. Good to see that happening.

The project at 4960 Chef Menteur Hwy doesn't appear to have been selected, but I hope that can move forward soon as that's one of the major eyesores driving on I-10.

Th Little Gem Saloon has been sold to the same group that also owns the neighboring historic structures on Rampart St. Unfortunately, that means the Little Gem has closed for the time being. I'm very interested in seeing what the investment group decides to do with that block. So much history there.

On the one hand I actually really like the building design of the 500 Piety project. Certainly seems like they paid close attention to the details.

But on the other hand, they're practically infringing on the entrance to the stairs... Yikes that's close.

What is up with the purple and green on side of WTC? I'm sure it's temporary, however, I WISH NOLA would get more modern lighting on it's skyline!
