Perhaps Nurse or Keith?

Would they be looking at Kane if this was early Dec when they were leading the league in winning percentage ?

Probably not.

Now they are desperate.

Holland needs a handler.

His body language, fidgeting with that water bottle and choice of language was telling.

No different than Connors to be honest.

His last couple of years in Detroit were rough. He rode the coattails of a competent organization in Detroit. No history of competency to be found in the Oilers organization post 1990.

Oilers play Ottawa tonight.

My expectations are low.

Maybe score the first goal guys.

Well then.

Up 3-1... lose 6-4.

Good amount of shots, pressure, missed opportunities.

Awful D, awful. Positioning was horrific and left Skinner exposed, but that said... 5 on 24 is unacceptable, period.

Elliot shared something tonight that was intriguing... 'there will be consequences if the Oilers do not make the playoffs'. I read that is the clock is very much ticking on McDavid's time in Edmonton.

In all honesty when the Oilers gave up the first goal AGAIN I went and watched a movie. Knew this one would not end well.

Lots of problems with this team - mostly between the ears - but also goalie not able to steal a game for them, relying too much on their two superstars to bail them out - lack of discipline, mental toughness but giving up the first goal is a mental preparation problem and that is big. So fire the coaches? Maybe the players are tuning them out.

One big mess for sure.

Like Iginla did all those years in Calgary just keep your head high, take your giant paycheque and make the best life for yourself away from the rink (strong christian though). Winning the cup is just a dream for most and it’s not you that’s in control of the organization. Leafs are still proud, I guess we can be too. Be thankful for everything.

After a very energetic, competitive and four missed goal 1st... outplayed in the second and now giving up a goal and taking a penalty.

Here we go again...

I know it’s not all Koski’s fault but Ken needs to get Tip a top notch goaltender, at whatever cost. Maybe in Europe if not here but somewhere. It’s something he neglected to accomplish last year and myself and others I talk to knew it was a major mistake at the time. This needs to get done, number one priority.

McDavid, our captain, not available or not chosen for post-game interviews?

*of note, the jersey thrown onto the ice was a McDavid.

A much, much needed win tonight. Koskinen was the best player tonight and played like a true NHL-caliber goaltender.

Problem solved!

He made two important saves, but was still all over the place, out of position and has zero puck radar.

I like this move a lot. Great timing for someone like Cui to solidify and evolve the team/franchise.

Pumped to see what he can do to help the Elks.

Charging $20-$30 for upper deck tickets instead of $70 would be a good start. And bring back college corner and the Knothole gang in some capacity.
