Nice! As the skyline gets bigger, maybe you can mount the phone sideways?

That is something I like about other social media platforms. I love the ability to add a thumbs up.

Video should be 16:9 so we can view on a large monitor or screen. I think we need to have support groups for people who film everything for tiktok/phones etc.. I hate that aspect ratio.

It's easier to hold the phone vertically and most people don't even consider that our eyes are side by side, not stacked vertically, when they shoot video. It's what gives us a wide field of vision, and it's why TVs, theater screens and computer screens are wide, not tall. But let's get back to appreciation of jake.robs' awesome paper models.

Thank you guys! And thank you for posting the vid up for me! Maybe I didn't wait long enough after uploading...idk.

And yeah, I will have to do landscape videos later on. Portrait mode just seemed to fit better with the single-building shots, as that way the buildings would be much larger on a mobile screen. :S

I'm good with a couple pictures. I like to sit and look at them... study them... for a little bit. But whatever you post is much appreciated.

I got bored last night and got around to doing something I've wanted to mess with for a while: Did my own Google Maps future skyline. I've included everything I could find that has somewhat of a recent pulse.
Green is Under Construction.
Blue is Proposals that might have construction start soon.
Purple is Proposals that are more speculative.

Let me know if I missed anything. I'm going to try to keep it updated.
Also, I think that anyone can download this file and use it on Google Earth.

Blank Skyline:

Under Construction:

Proposals Close to Construction:

Proposals:

All together! Peep the Domain on the far left.

Aerial

I-35 Northbound is going to look so imposing soon!

From the boardwalk:

From SoCo:

From Zilker:

Mopac:

Southbound I-35:

Aerial again, Domain in the background:

Amazing!

Is it possible to see what these look like from Lakeway (620 @ Lohmans Crossing) and Bee Cave (Bee Cave Parkway behind the Galleria)?

I was out there a few weeks ago and one can really see the height difference between the Austonian, Independent and 6+Guad poking over the hills. 6+Guad towers over them.

Absolutely! However, the software uses a very wide-angle view, so they are going to look tiny!

Bee Cave:

Lakeway:

Its easier to see details from closer vantage points, like Mt Bonnell for example:

Amazing job! The view from 35 at Riverside is insane. Never in my life growing up here would I have imagined a skyline as dramatic as it has already become.

To add to the special requests, there are some additional vantage points I'd be interested in seeing:

- Mopac at 183 interchange
- I-35 from Braker
- I-35 from SH 45 Southeast
- 71 in front of ABIA

It's a water treatment plant, specifically the Albert R. Davis Water Treatment place.

I did think they were way too far for deep eddy. The poop might be ready to swim into then.

Here, I'll just link to the Google Earth file in my Google Docs. All you have to do is have the Google Earth app and download the file and you'll be able to fly around and see what it looks like! Plus, I've added names to everything and attached a render for everything that has a render.

Let me know if it works!
