Forming continues for the ground floor slab. Have started forming the ramp down to the L1 level. This will have the entrance off King St and be used for the public parking. The tenant parking entrance will be from York St and occupy the podium base levels above the ground floor lobby and commercial space. They have even started installing some of the ground floor steel rebar for the elevator/stairwell core.

I quite like the idea of high rise condos incorporating public parking into their design.

One of the problems that mid-size cities like London have in their downtown is that they want higher populations and a more solid built urban form but to get them usually requires the development of empty lots nearly all of which are for parking. There maybe more to do downtown but you then get the constant lament that "there is no way to park".

In big cities were transit is far more robust and all have RT to their cores it is far less an issue but in mid-size cities like London, the majority of people still use their cars even to the cores. Limiting the loss of parking {which this building does} increases density, creates a more constant urban form, and yet doesn't result in a loss of parking...........a real win-win.

The Renaissance Towers, completed about 10 years ago, also have public parking. I think several of the other highrise proposals downtown also have public parking as part of their plan.

Milestone week. They have poured about 2/3rds of the ground floor slab and the parking ramp.

Ground floor wall forming has started and the elevator/stairwell core is also formed. Should see the remainder of ground floor slab poured early this week.

They are forming the central core above ground now. It sure is a very tight floor plate to be working from.

Great drone photos.

Looking forward to seeing more from other projects. ie: Old Oaks Hyde Park tower 3, Old Oak Mosaik on Sugarcreek, York Wonderland and Fanshawe, Drewlo 661 Talbot and building behind FarmBoy, McCormicks factory.

Agreed great photos!

A decent vantage point could be had on the second floor of the market.

Whenever I go back to my office, assuming I'm still at my same desk, I'll have a good vantage point of this tower once it starts rising.

Ground floor wall and posts continuing with the steel rebar and forming. Imagine they would want to get as many sections formed this week in order to do a concrete pour on Friday. That way they get the benefit of the weekend for it to set. Should see additional 2nd floor slab forming as they complete the ground floor walls and posts. Ground floor is extra high given the lobby and commercial plans. Looks like about 5 meters tall. Remaining podium base levels should be standard height for parking garage. They don't appear to be ready to form the ramp up to 2nd floor yet. Still need the east side walls to be formed and poured.

Walls and posts poured on north side along King St. Some of the west side walls and posts are now poured. Some of the south side steel rebar is in but not formed yet. East side walls and ramp up to 2nd floor not started. Have most of the 2nd floor slab jack posts and forming done across the north side. Still a few weeks away from seeing some of the 2nd floor slab being poured.

2nd floor wall rebar and forming well under way now on north side and elevator core. Not clear if they have poured the rest of the 1st floor walls and ramp or 2nd floor slab on south side as of yet.
