If I recall they began construction without any pre-leasing whatsoever, and had the building 100% leased within months.

Athabasca Oil leased about 250k of the space. I don't know who else they signed up, but besides the big players in expansion mode again, there has been a bunch of mid-sized oil firms and an ever increasing amount of international/national financial services/IT/Law etc. firms scooping up a lot of space across downtown these past few years.

I don't think 225 Sixth will have any problems beginning construction soon after on-site demo is complete.
