Looks tall and slender. I'm really curious to see the glazing.

On the subject of glazing!

Even though there doesn't seem to be any glazing (cladding) on site, I saw an optimistic sign yesterday. I noticed a couple of workers outside the safety fence on the third floor so I stopped for a closer look. It appeared that they were installing the sills for the windows. The concrete floor slabs appeared to have new anchors attached to the edges presumably for the cladding. I then drove down the back alley to look at the south side of the building and found that they have been busy doing this for some time. The bottom third of the building seems to be getting close to ready for cladding (at least on the south side of the building).

Sounds like the glazing is close. I'm sure there are a few that are curious to see it.

Here are a couple of shots of the Pearl that I took today. I believe that they are working on the 31st floor at the moment. Five floors plus mechanical left to go!

As noted above. Looks like they are pouring the floor for 31.

I wonder if this one will top out before the glazing arrives? I can't recall ever seeing that happen before....except maybe that hotel in North Korea.

It is quite unusual that they are only starting to apply the cladding now. Does anyone know the reason?

Probably a combination of design changes, inexperienced builder, and shipping time...
