As far as suburban locations goes, this is second only to the Marda Loop area... and maybe Westbrook but that's a close call.

I'd give Bowness some credit as far as a suburban area.

I wasn't taking credit away from Bowness, I just didn't mention it because I don't think it has anywhere near as many amenities as the three mentioned. I could be wrong though.

The location is great with having two grocery stores within a short walk, as well as some pubs and restaurants. The LRT station right there is great too. You've got a short drive or bike ride up Brisebois to Nose Hill. You can take the train one stop down to Northland mall, and two stops to Dalhousie station. Of course University and SAIT access is great.

Lots of good options.

I can understand the affinity between inner city and bowness given the ease of flooding, but you really think Bowness competes with the best areas in the city (or beyond)? I don't think Bowness is that good, and it has extremely low density. I'm thinking LRT would need to be a factor also.

Anyway - we're talking about University City and got sidetracked a bit ...

Thanks for posting this, I don't get up that way enough. I had no idea they were this far along.

How is the ground-level shaping up? I never quite understood how the road between the buildings is structured, is it an actual new street or more like a shopping plaza road?

There is retail at the base of a few of these right?

Glad to see the green looks more like actual green in that recent shot. When I took mine it looked more like yellow.

From what I've seen it is a road/ parking area for retail in between, and there is a Pho place that just opened not too long ago, but not much else yet. I can't wait to see it filled, and I wish they would fix the winding sidewalk in front!

I really like these towers for this part of the city. Is this "Brentwood Village", or is that an upcoming nearby Riocan project?

I do wish they'd chosen a slightly nicer shade of Green, but otherwise shaping up quite well.

I may be wrong, but it looked like the forms were down and the Green tower has topped out?
