Yes, that was a gay bar called Woof's, as PedestriAnne noted. This is the only true gay sports bar in the SE, and my favorite hangout!

Very friendly "Cheers" type of place, with great bar food and a very mixed crowd.

Well, yep, I do believe that was it, there were ballplayers and such in there.

Ann Mashburn at Westside.

Westside is light years ahead of the "midtown mile"

Another great addition to this already alluring shopping area! As for the MM, I really think the success/failure of CB2 will have a big impact on how well that idea pans out. I get their catalog and they carry some great stuff, so I know I'll be in there drooling lol. I have a feeling I'm not the only one...

The Midtown Diner is closed. Looking in the windows, it appears this may be permanent.

Really?! I've never been, but it doesn't seem to have good reviews. Isn't that Thai place on 10th street also closed?

Ha I'm surprised it even made it this far. Just because you're at one of the most prominent corners in the city and are open all night doesn't mean success. Just seemed like a sham for some reason.

"The Dew" has really come through at that corner!

Why not do a temporary art installation or something while we all wait for the "perfect" development.

Is it a Thai place, still? I can't tell from the name. It was open for lunch yesterday when I walked by.

My wife & I agreed today that the Midtown Diner's food was better than--which is not to say it was great--the Broadway Diner's (in the Windsor at North & Peachtree) is, but I guess the rent must be lower in the Windsor, because the Broadway Diner is still there!

I'm pretty sure the Thai restaurant there ("The Tenth," formerly called "Spybee") is still open. The food is fine, but a bit over priced.

An IHOP is supposed to open this summer at 428 Ponce (near Charles Allen). Construction has started already.

Twisted Taco, on 12th St in Midtown, has been sold and will be reopened as "Dead Man Saloon." Also, Tin Lizzy's Cantina in Midtown should open any time now.

Well, here's a waiter who got attacked by his customers at the El Azteca on on Ponce but they caught them on tape.

Panchero's Mexican Grill in Allen Plaza is now closed. I guess they couldn't compete with the nearby Willy's, Moe's, and the new Baja Fresh that just opened at Centennial Park.

Tech Plaza Waffle House - June 9

A poster in the Student Center says the GT Waffle House (5th & Spring) will open on June 9th.

Don't everyone go all at once!

Awesome. It's so cool they will have some patio seating. Chicken sandwich, salad and sweet tea -- here I come.

Yeah! Burger to officially open at White Provisions on June 10th. Hopefully they won't play Usher's Yeah! song over and over again.
