The final result will depend on what colour the blinds are - if the blinds are light-coloured, the contrast will be severe.

Does window-wall in vancouver ever come in sizes other than 4x6 feet with the lame clerestory strip?!?

That's better than the ones like Capitol or Yaletown Park, where instead of the clerestory strip up top, there's a mullion at sofa-seated eye level.

Compare to the mullions spacing in the Yaletown Park tower on the left of this pic:

Someone must have made one hell of a bulk order a really long time ago.

The Beasley is popping up rather fast.

That part facing the alley on the corner has got to be the worst designed condo/townhouse construction I've seen. It looks fine from what I can tell on the other side facing the courtyard.

BTW - I think that corner townhouse will be clad in brick - but it still has an odd look to it.

Pic by me today.

FYI - curtain wall was being applied to the office podium this morning. It is true curtain wall (not window wall). The panels are hung on brackets from the slabs (not sitting on the slab). That's also why the top has that notched appearance - for the bracket spacing.

Thanks for posting.

The office curtain wall looks like it'll blend into the complex better than shown on the rendering.

I noticed today that they've painted some of the concrete above the office space. It's a dark taupe - same tone as the darker colour on Yaletown Park, but one shade darker - works well with the spandrel panels.

The second level of windows on the office podium are up - gives you a good idea what teh finished podium will look like - Looks good (better than the render).

Wow I actually don't hate it as much as I thought I would. As far as sissy beige condos go, this one's surprisingly slick, which makes me wish all the more that the glazing covered the whole buildig and, without as many set-backs. I'm sure I'll hate it again once the brick goes up.

Then youre in luck because there is no brick on the tower, just the townhouse section.
