Had I described it as large you would have argued that it was actually small. Had I called it tall you would have said it was short, if it was clad in crimson red panels and I said I like that it's red you would have said it's actually blue. It's like you are unable to troll, something in you drives you to be negative to certain forumers constantly. Kitchener is one of those cities most Canadian's including Ontarians know very little about. Unless you're from there or went to school there that is. Crazy it's getting such a vertical skyline.

It's a proposal boom at this point. The increase in construction in downtown Kitchener has pretty much shifted from Waterloo. All these proposals breaking ground in short order would be bad for construction in Toronto.

Like everywhere else in Canada, many of the residents of these ugly inappropriate towers in KW are TFW Conestoga "students" or tech employees. Like I discovered at The Well: every resident I saw - 100s - was South Asian. The LRT is packed with them. Think of the carbon footprint spent flying these wage suppressors across the Globe! (Recall how media reported Pearson was a disaster in 2021 & 2022 but never could explain the cause? Haha. Oh, and also the surge in new Covid19 variants.)

I've seen a few listings at the Well for a one bedroom plus den leasing as a $4800 (total) furnished 3 bed student residence. It's a shit situation for locals that see inflationary costs from the huge annual growth in international students and for the students that are completely lied to about the housing crisis here.

You'll find something in Toronto. That is not the case elsewhere. I sat next to a guy flying back to Pearson who was going home after failing to find housing out east.

That's a wild price for a rental. I know some people that have been in the market recently and been able to find a recently reno'd full floor (or 2) of an old house with 2 bedrooms plus office for $3kish in both the West and East End. Much preferable situation in my books as they are in a more interesting area and have outdoor space included. Still expensive (though for 2 people not as dire) and took some looking but not impossible. I suppose a big difference is they are employed professionals with rental history.

The den was $1800. The master was $1500 each for two people or $2200 for one person. I remember the listing because you could probably rent the same floor plan as an unfurniished rental for around $2600.

The furnishings were the cheapest quality.
