Houston continues to see high demand for new homes, according to national report
And demand for new homes is growing in Houston, according to Metrostudy. The Bayou City saw an 11.9 percent increase in the number of new-home move-ins. New-home move-ins jumped from 6,072 in the second quarter of 2013 to
6,797 in the second quarter of 2014.
In fact, demand for new homes is rising in major cities across Texas, according to Metrostudy. Austin saw a 12.7 percent increase in the number of new-home move-ins, from 2,216 move-ins in 2013 to 2,497 move-ins in 2014. Dallas-Fort Worth saw a 9.9 percent increase, from 4,775 move-ins in 2013 to 5,249 move-ins in 2014...
