Something I've wanted to do for awhile, since I rented
Without Warning. Great Los Angeles cinematography and totally watchable. It's readily available so this may be old news to many on here (
really old if you all saw it after Jeff's post)...just supercool scenes, though, so I wanted to post a few (and try out thumbnails because there are too many cool shots to list full-size - probably posting too many as it is). Here goes!
Address on the house is 632. Street? Could that be Spruce? Bridge in the background seems to be Stadium.
And that looks like the Park Row Bridge. Many of those houses appear to still exist.
Nice freeway chiaroscuro.
Excellent shot, LAPD on level 3. I'd say 'pun intended' but it isn't even a pun anymore - it just
is both things - fine aim with a prop firearm and also a great view of the stack.
The escape.
The aftermath. Sweet-ass Ambassador Super Interceptor (it'd be cool if that's what they called them). One for the gasometer fans, too.
The obsessive compulsive key tosser. Another snazzy Nash and great background buildings. This is nitpicking but I imagine someone who tosses his keys as much as this guy is supposed to wouldn't need to stare at it like it's about to explode in his hand.
And some more...
It was hard to stop stopping the movie with so many great shots. Some of these I like for composition, others for the locations and people. The Eastside shoeshiner, the marbled and striped Stop sign, the woman in the "Open All Night" theater booth. And the view from this dude's house! Holy hell. I'd demolish that place purely out of jealousy!
