Man, just looking at that power district rendering. How awesome would it be to have a continuous urban stretch from power district to downtown

Burying those railroad tracks as well and removing the north temple viaduct would really transform the east and west connection. One can dream

I know that rendering isn't necessarily representative of the actual plan rn but there are some aspects I would like to see in the power district. It looks like there is a pedestrian bridge connecting the Jordan river trail and the amount of green space being provided seems like a huge amenity. It seems similar in size to the redesigned abandon water park thing the city is doing (and in a much denser area). Maybe the power district could be the west side's liberty park

The buildings lowkey look like the point though.. just randomly scattered podium-style apartments. I hope we get to see some updated renderings or info soon

Astra Crane lift

Dakben, Schmoe said a couple pages back in this thread that the crane lift is scheduled for May 9-12th.

A couple photos I took while looking for apartments.

Turns out moving to the SLC area is a royal pain in the ass. I consider myself lucky that I got a place.

1618 Townhomes. (1618 S Main)

TAG Crossing? Just north of Interstate 80 adjacent to Main Street.

Anyways, if my interest keeps up I'll be able to get more photos starting this summer. I'll be living in Murray working downtown if current plans hold.

Love the view of Astra you are able to provide dakben! Looks like 26 roof to ceiling floors, and core at approximately 29. Still a good amount of height to go!

Astra Tower is on Level 27 for decks, with the concrete pour for that level scheduled for Wednesday. The core is at Level 29 and should jump to 30 on Thursday.

Crane jump still on schedule for May 9-12, but the first couple days are staging and prep. Movement will happen on 11th or 12th.

Just noticed I said roof to ceiling floors lol, meant to say deck to ceiling. I think we are pretty much on the same page other than I was counting floors that have a ceiling and your are counting it as a floor when the decking is in place correct? Is it still looking like approximately Aug for top out?

I went to a mingle and networking event over the weekend. I had a chance to briefly speak with Khosrow Semnani who owns Trolley Square. I asked he and his son about the project he had planned a few years back. He said he still wants to build it, but he is involved with so many things. He is doing a bunch with philanthropy right now. Really sharp fellow. I told him there are many who would like to see his project come to fruition. Maybe my little nudge may have helped.

Yes, exactly. August is when we expect the superstructure to top out.
