Not the top sundeck part with the pool, that's for condo owners only. But there is a portion of the podium that has stairs from Columbus down to LSE park.

And on that thought, does anyone know when in the construction schedule those stairs will open? I'm hoping they'll be available for use long before the tower itself is done, so that LSE park is accessable from the west sooner rather than later.

I thought I had heard that the sundeck would be open to hotel guests as well as the condo owners, but am not 100% sure on this.

Does anyone know if the podium will rise above Columbus? And will there be retail along that part?

If I have the orientation right the left of this model is Columbus and the podium is above it. Although from the model you cant tell that has retail. In fact looking at this I surprised that it looks so barren given the rest of the building. It looks like a solid cement wall - vision of Dearborn Park. The bottom of the picture shows the ramp down to the Lakeshore East Park. That has windows and what looks like a set back that may be and entry.

Just a little view point from Columbus today.

There were up to 5 cement trucks stacked up unloading their concrete. There were a lot of construction workers going balls out from what I could see. They really were laying truck after trucks of concrete today. It almost looked like a slab pour which I know it was not but the flurry of trucks and the massive flow of concrete felt like it.

Yes this looks like the central core for elevator and stairways.

Yes the whole structural base, one big column, in the previous pages you can see pics of the caissons and re-bar ( RC ? ) mat that are under this.

The gray steel in the center covers the elevator core and will lift itself up, recent pictures of Waterview show this in some detail.

The tower is longer than the reinforced mat. it extends to the columns in the foreground (on the right side of the photo). Likewise it extends a similar distance past the mat in the back (upper left).

Hydrogen or anyone who may know,
Any idea if they are putting in a street to the north of Aqua? in this sketch it looks as if aqua is on a corner I know upper and lower columbus is to the west of the site but the KPMG building and fire dept. is currently to the north and there is no street between....just curious if anyone knows. Thanks
