I am in a hotel in Downtown TO right now (near Dundas Square).
This is my first time here and I have to say I had NO IDEA Toronto was this urban, walkable, vibrant, beautiful, and wonderful!
It's like a cross between NYC, Chicago, and Seattle.
Coupled with the "fact" that people SEEM to be nicer all around here in Toronto, and I like the speed of life, this place really inches up a tad bit higher for me right now than even NYC.
OMG and the streetcars on the streets are GREAT!
The nightlife is amazing (on King and Queen Streets?).
Part of me wishes I could move here!!!
You guys are super lucky to have such a great city here.
Toronto has got to be one of the most underrated cities in the world.
Time for another M5V construction update:
The whole thing, from 15 floors up, now topping out:
Podium with candy coloured accents:
Zeroing in on the box - originally planned to house two floors worth of HVAC and be sheathed in red aluminum, it now appears that only half of the lower floor of the box will be required for the equipment, cutting the architectural exclamation mark down to the impact of a comma:
so did you end up making the bisha thread? i can't find it. (btw, i don't care that much, and i'm too lazy to make it myself!) also, we should move the bell lightbox off the the construction thread.
M5V, Charlie and potentially Bisha all on the same block? (not to mention Bell Lightbox right near by) Crazy!
