There's a brand new 3-storey condo complex at St. Mary's & Monck, about 4 feet from the sidewalk.
Sussex just invested a ton of money upgrading all the buildings of St. Boniface Court at Eugenie, including new landscaping – 2 feet from sidewalk. It's 3 lanes there, but the curb lane is a full-time diamond lane. With the new TMP making this a Rapid Route – they'd have to add a fourth lane if they want to expand.
Harbourfront Wealth Management at Kenny is about 5 years old now. They were allowed to build parking in front. If they add a lane, they will lose all of it, and there's none in the back, 1 inside.
Honestly I think we should be taking a lane away from SB St. Mary's from Morier to St. Anne's. There's absolutely no need for the third lane here at anytime. It's a parking lane all the time except afternoon rush hour, and even then it's rarely used.
- Expand the west sidewalk along the river to become a shared AT path along the river
- To the south, connect it to Mager, which leads to Kingston and over the bridge to Riverview
- To the north, AT path would cross the street at the existing lights at Guay (Park) to Des Meurons, where you could either continue all the way up to Provencher, or turn off at Eugenie to connect with the "bike infrastructure" on St. Mary's/Main Street Bridge, and to the downtown network
