Nicely controlled game. GO CANADA GO!
The 5 'streakers' didn't ruin it - if anything they added some drama in the 90th minute/extra time.

There will be enough drama tomorrow with the weather conditions and the competition Canada will be playing besides some idiots running out on the field.

Not sure about that, John Herdman looked pretty concerned when that one fan had him in a bear hug...sure it's good for a laugh, but it's about player/personnel safety. Never know what someone is thinking or intentions when they storm the field.

I would guess that there's beefed up on field security for tomorrow nights game

^ The only way to keep people off the field is to put a fence around it - too many spots for someone to get access and run out.

Anyone know if for the game at Commonwealth MEX CAN will we be able to bring a blanket? Is there a link to the rules on what we can bring? The wind may be brutal up high facing west.

Yup.

Looks up the guy that got on the field at a Blue Bombers game and attacked a BC Lions player.

Or the father and son who attacked the first base coach at a White Sox game.

As funny as it is that these dummies get onto the field, bad things have happened in the past.

It am thinking not but cannot recall from the last game or Elks.

We brought a large flag which would help.

The football games had fines up to $2500 for people on the field. I would add a ban from from all events at Commonwealth - pick your amount.

And if you get hurt on the field too bad

As they should have. Idiot attacks their own, he gets his own medicine back and then some.

Man, if the field was bad on Friday, it's going to be even worse tonight. How they play this game is beyond me but what do I know?

the field is tarped - they will remove it this afternoon when hopefully the snow stops and it starts to clear.

the wind is more an issue then the cold and the snow.

“Change it,” he said, when asked how the stadium’s pitch could be improved. "We play the World Cup obviously on natural grass.”

Let's hope we win the bid and the only requirement is reverting back to a grass field (which I wish we kept in the first place).

'Explore Edmonton estimates the World Cup qualifying games brought $30-40 million in economic benefits to the region with 30% of attendees from outside the city, Global News reports. The success of the games has raised hopes for Edmonton’s 2026 World Cup bid. FIFA has spoken positively about the city’s chances but indicated the artificial turf at Commonwealth Stadium would have to go.' - Taproot

^Basically waiting on the province to support it. Also if Edmonton's bid doesn't move forward, Toronto also dies.
