While I'm tempted, reality is we probably need to wait for a proposal with legitimate possibility of actually materialize in that prime lot before starting a thread. Even the mention of Firepark gets many folks' knickers in a knot, and I don't want to exacerbate their blue balls syndrome.

When I saw it from Centre St @ Beddington Blvd yesterday, it looked like it was almost the height of Suncor. Can't wait to see it top out

Thanks for that awesome shot! ^^

the corner taper is very slightly noticeable from this angle, I feel like just a little further to the west and it would be more noticeable!

If I'm counting right, the glass is complete up to floor 29 and the steel on the southwest corner is done up to floor 48, and on the north side it's done up to floor 45.

brookfield ^^
that sounds right, which means they are about to pour the 51 level of the core as the core forms cover 3 floors (2 finished and the one they are working on)
TallBob
8 more core levels and 11 of steel to top out the crown

I'm beginning to hear some some verrrrrry interesting chatter about a certain lead tenant's perceived lack of need for the space it's committed to in this building. Has anyone else heard anything?

Well that's not surprising in the least, Cenovus just announced today that more layoffs are incoming.

Would they be able to back out of their lease?

Probably not. Lots of companies that are tied into leases are just paying for empty space right now, and it sounds like there are a ton more layoffs coming...

I would think that Cenovus and Encana are having trouble filling THE BOW right now. Not a good situation with Brookfield..

Thanks for the great pictures guys!
It's interesting how depending on the point you view it from,
Brookfield Place can look very sleek and tall, like in The Fisher Account's picture.
And then from a different view the building appears massive with a gigantic footprint, like in Chadillaccc's pictures.

Its looking amazing regardless!

Nope. The word iron-clad comes to mind.
