They mentioned the food hall was on level 1 on an electrical permit.. Those kiosks are level 2.

Deville's sign company accidentally posted their quote and Google found it. The Post signage for Deville $10K for two illuminated channel fascia signs. 14'7" wide x 2'6" tall

The Food Hall may face Hamilton.

There are new signs up on the Dunsmuir and Homer corner entrance, 'Atrium at The Post'

Unless they get an anchor food hall tenant I think they're going to struggle to get people to walk in.

I think The Atrium, and the Food Hall are different, and an anchor in the Food Court won't impact the Atrium. So far there's Lee's (until May 31st), Oakberry and Starbucks in The Atrium, but the design is a bit odd - it all feels temporary. The bubble tea place you mentioned getting a permit on Hamilton could be in the Food Court part of the development? (Although this BIV piece seems to suggest it isn't.) I guess it's too soon to really understand how it will work.

Yea, the way its designed make them all seem like pop-ups, like larger versions of those stands in the middle of the mall hawking sketchy wares.

Joseph Richards Group has been released from their agreement with Quadreal to develop the food hall at The Post per the article in BIV

https://www.biv.com/news/hospitality...urants-8803405

This would indicate to me at least that this project is a long way off from seeing completion if at all.

It has been a long way off completion for a considerable period of time, as I don't think Joseph Richard had actually started construction. At least it isn't now in limbo with a bankrupt business incapable of doing anything to move development forward.

BIV seems to think it will open later this year.

The downtown location of Amazon’s corporate offices also benefits the local economy and surrounding businesses, according to Weeks. Loblaws City Market and Starbucks are open for business at The Post, and a food court is expected to open later this year.

Maybe QuadReal downsized its expectations and have opted for a conventional "food court" rather than a "food hall".
Keep an eye out for quick service franchise opportunities at The Post.

There's still no permits for that work so it seems optimistic to open something this year.

Is there any indication the building has fewer workers in it than was originally envisioned pre-pandemic?

I meant downsized its expectations in finding one large unique operator for a food hall, versus the conventional route
of parceling up the space and finding separate smaller food court type operators.

Yes, I was just wondering if there were significantly less potential in-house office worker clients for a food hall than was originally thought?

I would think that a food hall would be its own anchor / drawing card,
while a food court would be more reliant on employees (ie run of the mill, nothing special to draw others in).

... and I only mentioned that because of the BIV wording - I could be reading way too much into the words "food court" in the article.
