LOL, of course I looked at all the photos at the link. In my work I'm used to looking at hundreds of images at a time, although my visual memory isn't what it was (the Super Chief accident at Union Station being a case in point).
Congratulations on your retirement! I'm sure you've made a great difference to your 6th-graders taking them on your annual DTLA walking tours, one they may not even appreciate yet. I hope another teacher at your school continues that tradition. Although I sometimes chaffed at my mother dragging us into town so often (I would have been quite happy left to my own devices on the beach), between those outings and school field trips (Griffith Observatory, Union Station, City Hall, Central Library) I have a much better sense of place than I would otherwise. It's a real gift.
