Caprica is one of my favourite shows for seeing Vancouver locations. I've never seen them filming, but they appear to be all over town, both in real shots and in morphing actual locations or buildings into blue-screen shots. There was one episode where they had at least 3 or 4 different scenes shot in various locations around Yaletown and along the seawall near Sunset Beach.
I much prefer the large raindrop on the far side, which I'm hoping has been put back (wasn't it removed during the Olympics or something, at the request of a network). I love the idea of taking a single raindrop and showing it in perfect form, only larger, just as it strikes the ground . . . very cool.
However, my favourite piece of public art these days is the "character man" (I'm sure that is NOT the name) looking out over the grass above Sunset beach. I find it fascinating, especially at night when it's lit up and you can see the interesting shadows cast from the characters.
