From the looks of it this could be 350 feet or so --- total off the cuff estimate but seems plausible. Next to the highway it will be a welcome addition.
It's 22 stories, maybe 300 feet at most. Construction has been moved up to December.

I like it and the scale is appropriate for the location.

Ya it isn't too bad, I like that the new parking is well hidden within the building footprint. That other parking on Williams in the model is the existing centergy deck.

It is also only the first phase, I assume the 2nd phase would be built on the remaining land between this and the square on fifth tower. Hopefully with that they will connect with the elevated pedestrian path

Also forj that seems reasonable. http://www.ctbuh.org/TallBuildings/Heigh...r/tabid/1068/language/en-GB/Default.aspx estimates 22 floors at 330 feet

Centergy North Proposal - Very similar to NCR's current design.

Much better than the earlier Centergy Proposal-- I like whats happening at the street-- The tower is oddly proportioned, but perhaps not terrible

NCR Site Plan

What corner is the tower sited on? That might help with perspective and my potential approval.

Per the article, 22 stories on top of 5 levels of parking. Does that mean 27 stories? Hmm... So it could have a bit of height... I'm looking forward to better quality renderings.

Dumb question. Is the word "renders" or "renderings"?

I say the latter but I honestly don't know if that's correct.

Cheetah

How much longer can the Cheetah hold out in their current spot with all the activity surrounding them. I hear they are not bad neighbors but pole dancing and tata shaking amongst all the corporate and student activity...sort of cheap, no?

I think someone renders a rendering... does that make sense?

Actually this is a photo of a model-- not a rendering at all--
Renders is a European term-- Rendering is the more common name in the US-- but both are used--

i'm honestly quite surprised and impressed that they're putting retail on williams. i really like the bottom few floors of the building and the way it interacts with the tower, but the tower itself is not particularly impressive.

The images are pictures of a model - they're not renderings.

Let's be honest that's more than likely just part of the office lobby meeting Williams Street to meet the active use requirements for the DRC.

Render is a verb, so you can't have "a render." Rendering is the image produced (though as others have noted, the NCR image is a physical model, not a rendering).

It's a pretty good looking building and the scale is appropriate for its location.

I caught the tail end of the NCR presentation at the DRC. Someone asked the architect as they were leaving the room how tall it would be and he replied about 28. I'm assuming that he was including parking.
