Great list, RATBOYKEV. So, does anyone know if Post Midtown Millennium will have retail or not? I haven't seen a mention of that anywhere. I imagine the DRC at least required the space to be "activated" at street level?

It would be cool to see that list with only the U/C projects and their population data.

But one of the Likely Proposals is now U/C (Modera) and one of the Possibles (Alta) looks Likely. And several of the Likely ones seem eminent.

Hello all,

I've actually lurked on this forum to acquire information about major developments (to great success!) and want to upload an excel file of development information I've compiled to give back a bit.

Any tips?

Sharable Google Sheets Link - updates welcome!

I got most of the Floor counts from publicly released info and if you have any changes, please update the google sheets doc above!

Personally, I don't consider something UC until demo is 100% complete and heavy equipment is onsite. I would typically need to see more to fully accept Broadstone Terraces, Modera, Hanover, & Post Millenium to be really "Under Construction".

You can drop it into the Google sheets link above on a second tab.

interesting that my timing coincided so perfectly with the current conversation...

Anyways, here's a link for some compiled information:
All of it is publicly available and mainly based of news articles from: ABC, AJC, intownATL, curbed, etc.

There's no real insider knowledge or major specifics as my job doesn't entail that. It's not as detailed as kev's so use as you will or don't.

Here you go: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...hogHtPJWm1qFkh5u7b3rAuw/edit?usp=sharing

Also, if you see any major discrepancies or errors, particularly developments in Midtown/Buckhead, please PM me or post as that information would be invaluable!
Oh, and an aside, this only includes developments within the atl/marietta/sandysprings MSA

Some of the projects listed under "likely and possible proposals" are either in permitting and/or already received land disturbance/building permits.

I think the Peachtree and 3rd development is a permanent no-go. Something about gas lines or water lines being under the land and not being able to build a high rise if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Oops quoted the wrong thing and I'm not sure how to quote something different. That was meant for RATBOYKEV,

Construction has started on the new Riverwood office tower in Vinings.

Alexan at Overlook is taking shape across the street. The residential part is wood framed which surprised me. It's supposed to be 7 floors and I thought they had condo conversion in mind so I was expecting something more solid.

A drop ride is likely coming to complement the Ferris Wheel by Centennial Park. They plan to present plans with CoA within next 30 days.

No. 158, Alexan Glenwood, is under construction (thank the Maker).

No, no, please God, NO...stop the Gatlinburgization of Centennial Park! Residents and visitors downtown do not need to be serenaded by the shrieks and squeals of teenage girls as they try to enjoy the park.

I actually think it's a good idea. Anything that will keep visitors and residents downtown is a good thing, whether it's a drop ride or a new museum. Diversity of attractions is important.

Anybody have the full text from the article?

They really need to shut down the Fountain of Rings too... the sound of children playing there is infuriating

This is all very concerning. Atlanta will never be taken seriously on the world stage as long as we keep letting tourists have fun.

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. If it's done right, it could be pretty nice I think. Centennial Park is the most touristy part of the city so I think it would be a good fit. This isn't a whole lot different than what they have at Chicago's Navy Pier.

I don't know if it's smart to mix an amusement park with semi-serious activities such as the Atlanta Market Center, Georgia Aquarium, Museum for Human Rights, and CNN Center.

Good point. I guess I'm 50/50 on the issue. I'll withhold judgement until more details are revealed.

It's all fun and games until SIX FLAGS plants it's corporate boot on Atlanta's neck. They could crush us
