It's also collapsed in another area up next to One Alliance.

This would have to be one of the 98 14th St Towers.

Praying we get Eviva in this development cycle. We should. I don't think it will slow down until 2017 or 2018.

Not trying to be negative - I love this proposal and really hope it gets built - but I havent read nor heard anything about any of the permits being approved. I'd be surprised if someone has a construction contract. I need a surprise!

A rare update on this project.

SunTrust Park (Atlanta Braves Ballpark):
There is one location, along I-75, where you can look directly into the construction site. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready with the camera. I love how the ballpark appears to be in the center of the Interstate, with highrises in the background.

I despise this project. Some beautiful trees and pleasant vistas destroyed for an ugly strip of elevated highway that will be just as clogged as the roads below in a few years. It's turning parts of 75, that used to be tolerable (for a highway) into the ugliest place imaginable.

Definitely not the ugliest place imaginable. That would be I-95 near Newark, NJ.

A bit of hyperbole perhaps. But drive by yourself. The trees on the entrance/exit ramps up and down 75 through Cobb have been buzzed and the hulking freeway looms above. It's awful.

I believe they'll be replacing the trees after construction.

Only 700ft? Well at least that will be good infill. Of course I'm only joking. On a serious note, the only two proposals on 14th St are 98 14th St and 22 14th St. Have we ever received a definitive height on Related Group's 22 14th Street proposal?

I'm assuming this contract would correlate to the 98 14th St proposal...but that proposal has been quite silent for a few months now. Clearly that would be Tower C. Brasfield & Gorrie are the big guns in major construction in the metro Atlanta area. If they got the contract already then that means that the developer is serious about moving forward.

I'm curious to know more..........

This is great news. What a complete contrast to the trees being cut down for a massive highway project out in the suburbs.

Hanover Buckhead Village filed for new construction permit couple days ago and their land dev. is only waiting grease trap and building plan approvals so that could be starting construction in the next month or so.

Also demo and land dev. permits were filed for this development at 361 Pharr Rd.

I walked past the site yesterday evening. It's amazing how quickly that began. All trees are gone and there's been a considerable amount of dirt moved with equipment on site and it's all fenced off.

Boomtown

So much being built now in Midtown. Is there an updated list of what's currently under construction?

I use this list for what's currently under construction. SmArTaLlone is pretty good about keeping it updated (Thank you!):

Then of course, this one for when I want to visualize the impact these developments are having on the core:
