^lol...

i really like it! to each their own, but i think it's far more imaginative than the relatively bland brand properties proposal or that other condo to it's left in the renderings. looks like it would fit right in next to the high line in nyc.

Good luck... have you ever been in that area? It is a pedestrian deadzone thanks to buildings being setback really far from the road with minimal sidewalk infastructure.

I used to live in peachtree hills and i can attest to the fact that this stretch of peachtree is a complete deadzone.

ODA has the potential to do great work, but mostly they are just known for their "stack of boxes."

Their buildings in DUMBO are beautiful, and their contributions to 93 Worth are excellent; but this is one of their many misses (IMO).

I would like to see this toned-down and cleaned-up. The street level is also particularly vomit-inducing.

Gosh dude, what is your real issue? At any rate, this building is AWESOME. Atlanta could use more towers on this level. As far as street level attention, it's very appropriate for that area. In fact, for that area it will look great. That's an area of Peachtree where people there love the setback from the street and enjoy/appreciate having a nice landscape with a dramatic entrance.

Forumers, just because a building isn't 20 feet from the street, doesn't make it awful, or because it doesn't have street-level retail. Honestly, it's comical how some people act on this board. So extremely critical, without understanding the big picture.

Maybe I am in the minority but I think the building is striking because its architecture is in stark contrast to the condo towers around it.

Secondly, this stretch of Peachtree Road is almost completely residential from the Peachtree Battle shopping center to the shopping center just north of the Gallery (the one with the Publix). The only breaks are the four churches in the area. Did we really expect this condo building to come right up to the street?

Nice, but is the scale a bit off?...

I don't necessarily mean that it needs to have retail or be street friendly in that way-- the base is just awkward at the moment. generally speaking, the building is uneasy meeting the ground--

What's awesome is developing a city with a variety of architecture, yes, but also a city that looks to the future of an area instead of just what exists there currently. A city that sees potential. A city that acknowledges that what we build now is going to be around for the next few decades, at the very least. We can't continue to tear down and rebuild, we need to focus on building things that last and will continue to attract people to the city.

I am not impressed by this proposal because it plays to an outdated formula of development and because architecturally it's so severe that the chances of it aging gracefully are nil.

That's the big picture, as I see it.

I see this building being attractive for years and aging gracefully. When you travel around the world, there are plenty of iconic architecture that has aged gracefully. Keeping up a building and maintaining its maintenance will preserve a building for years to come.

There is nothing like this in Atlanta so I like it! It's different. We needs something different. I can see this looking good at night.
