I would too, but I wouldn't be able to afford it. And Blenfest would probably kick me out if he found out I was staying there.

Starwood participates in the Hotels Tonight app. My new fave. Get same night accommodations for bare minimum pricing. In January I got the Westin for $88!!! They are usually in the $250 range. It really is a great app. But just an app, no website. Kinda like uber for hotel rooms. Just be careful of policies you agree to.

there has been progress. But all the progress has been digging and shoring and moving dirt around. Folks see contractors there, many just assumed there would be some concrete pouring and movement upwards by now, that's all.

I have to say I'm not sure I recall seeing this before, at least not locally.

Thanks, blenfest! Now that we have anticipated dates for completion of digging and pouring of the foundation mat, I hope the pages of speculation and/or complaining about speed of progress can cease. At this point, it is what it is.

I suppose this means it's now safe to excavate the western end of the site all the way down.

Lenfest says June 27 scheduled to hit bottom so I'm thinking not. It depends if they've removed all the stuff that's been buried and how much support they need to add to the walls.

They were welding the tubes to the steel supports when I went by during lunchtime. I saw a flatbed with several more of these steel tubes on market street- possibly headed for this site. This is definitely interesting to watch.

Wow! We can definitely see the progress now! The site is looking good. And to Parkway's point, this hole is pretty darn deep.

And then there were three...

I wonder if I could get away with flying a drone into the hole to get a better look?

Blenfest didn't mention there would be 3 of them. Or maybe this is a fluid situation ... the pipes are added as needed??

It seems that they're only needed on the more western portion of the site (which probably explains why they were digging deeper earlier on the eastern portion). It looks like at least one more brace will be installed (note the pipe sections lying on the ground).
