Yeah it really is fantastic. I can't wait till the trees on the top are mature, it will look great.

According to inside sources expect a lot more funky projects from Woodwards' architects Henriquez and Partners in and around Vancouver. They are hands down my favourite firm in the city.

Festival's disappointing so far. I was hoping for more than just the standard curtainwall will random coloured panels. I find the podium ominious to say least least especially considering the surroundings. (and that doesn't include the 40 storey tower on top) Of course this development has set the precendent and there are now dozens of 40+ storey proposals nearby however, I'd much rather see this area intensified through mid-rises (8-20 storeys) as outlined by the planning department.
