Appears they are starting with the Building C directly behind the NBLC and adjacent to Aberdeen. Lots of ground prep, materials ie crush rock and major drilling taking place. They created a crushed rock road to locate the heavy equipment on the site behind NBLC where the major activity is taking place. Had thought they would be starting with the York Street Building A which was the shortest of the three. Buildings B and C are both 10 storeys as far as I can recall

Do you recall if residents will be able to access the building from Aberdeen?

Edit: Answered my own question. It appears not.

I had thought they would start with Tower A fronting York Street but appears not, unless the intent is to prep for all 3 buildings and then construct Tower A?

Earth seems to be moving for the Cedar Valley Development project between Golf Club Road and Prospect. At first I thought it was just earth from the current apartment building under construction but looks like excavation for the first part of this project now https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7005851.

A is seven storeys, B and C are 10. Total of around 300 units.

Okay thanks, I knew they were on the bigger side of things. I'm wondering if the trail going from York street to between Tower's C & B will be adjusted. As of right now, it aims directly into middle-back of the Sobey's building.

I believe the trail will continue to be located there as that strip of land is not owned by the developer.

Always nice to be on someone's list.

For the fourth year, Fredericton has been named one of the Global Top7 Intelligent Communities by the Intelligent Community Forum!

Did you know that over 70% of New Brunswick’s knowledge industries are based in Fredericton? Through years of strategic investments and planning, the City has created a diverse knowledge-based economy with significant growth in several sectors, including IT, engineering, environmental industries, computer science, cybersecurity, and biotech.

Makes sense to get the initial infrastructure and street built so they can start selling off the SFH lots close to Golf Club Road.

True, but after it exits the towers' property, it winds to the left of the Sobeys and between some parking lots to cross Regent at the lights. They recently laid some gravel on the paths over there from Regent to the Y beside the Sobeys.. "recently" being last few years. The reason it shoots straight from the train station to the back of the Sobeys is because it's on the city-owned ROW of the old station track, the Sobeys was pretty much just plopped right on top of it.

In their crosstown trail plans I believe they have two trails breaking off beside the Sobeys and meeting again at where the trail meets Westmoreland. One (the one you mentioned) winds behind the Sobeys, then runs past the station, across the street; the other runs along Aberdeen. Both on old rail right-of-ways. I have a hunch think they're trying to passively rebuild the fractured Centreville ROW over a longer time period to allow for easier cross-town travel and, of course, to have a fairly critical old rail ROW as a city asset.
