Far more concerning is what if anything it means for YYJ.

Currently deHavilland (Viking) is manufacturing parts in YYJ. The parts are shipped to YYC to be assembled and then the final aircraft is taken back to YYJ for final outfitting and handover to the customer.

It is well known they have been struggling to find space at YYJ and due to housing constraints it is a bit more challenging to recruit new workers.

A lot of other Express routes have big reductions until Jan 15, some as much as half or more. Many express routes have frequency reduced by 1x or 2x daily, even if the flight originally have only 2x daily to begin with.

Interestingly enough, YZF flights are suspended from both YYC/YEG and will only run from YVR for Nov-April. Then when the flight resume from both YYC and YEG in May, AC will suspend it from YVR. I wonder why....

AC is only suspending YVR-YZF for May and less than half of June. It's basck to full daily Jubne 14th. Maybe still changes coming? AC is also just generally focusing more on YVR, and letting WS/the others take YYC and YEG.

This year, airlines are really doing odd schedules, with smaller periods of operation and suspension, never was like this pre-Covid. It was winter or summer seasonal, but not these weird 1.5 month gaps. Sign of the times, and more domestic competition too

For the second week in a row YOW's had a 747 visit. Last week was a National 744F doing a currency run for the first time since pre-pandemic to AKL via HNL. Today is Korean Gov't VIP. I believe this is the first -8 pax or freighter to ever land at YOW:

If there was ever an industry that had misleading names.

Save-on-foods, the grocery store that has little to do with saving money on foods. It is frequently the most expensive in the market. Only to be outpriced by Thrifty Foods who have nothing to do with being Thrifty.

I couldn't agree with you more. The odd time I go there to pick up some grapes or gum and I see people buying hundreds of dollars of food I think to myself these must be the same people that believe their money will grow in a bank's savings account lol.

They could change their name to "Save-on-foods, relatively speaking" but that would only apply relatively to a 7-11.

From Alberta's standpoint we could have:
