It's got echoes of this fabulous building (below), but unfortunately, doesn't come even remotely close.

You take that back! 53W53 is one of my overall favorite buildings. I wont allow you to smear it with that garbage.

The tower will be 23 floors, which is tall for a residential tower on the Gatineau/Hull side, but dwarfed by the Federal office building behind. It should still have prominence in the skyline. 240 units, 59 of which will be affordable. A retail bay of 388 m2, 75 parking spaces and 240 bike spaces.
EDIT: Harley added it to the future skyline he's working on. The orange one in the middle near the hydro dam in the first image, and the orange one middle, right in the second image.
Ground breaking for 570 March Road in Ottawa's west suburb of Kanata, in the Tech Office Park. This new 750k square feet office and R&D complex will replace Nokia's current complex built in the 1980s, which will eventually be demolished and replaced with a high density, mixed-use community. This is the first of multiple proposed projects to transform this 1980s-2000s suburban office park(ing lot) into something more urban.
The first phase of the Hamilton Mountian Brow Hospital Lands redevelopment is starting, with a 500-bed long term care facility (the two 8-storey buildings). Also planned are new residential buildings and an 18-storey retirement home:
98 James St S is in front of the CoA - a 34-storey tower on a long inactive development site downtown. The new owner is advancing plans with an increased unit count. At 112m it would be the second-tallest building in the city.
Isn't the height limit still at approx 200m. These building look like they will be 200m like all the new buildings in Montreal.
