Who the hell cares how the lady would have been treated in the 80s? We're never going back to that time period, short of a major technological cataclysm. This type of conversation is pedantic as fuck and the people who perpetuate it seem to have a hidden agenda to turn it into a anti-wokeness diatrabe.

Well there's a first time for everything. You are very articulate but deliberately obtuse.
