Why wouldn't they want the logo at the top of the tower?

^Top portion is residential. Guessing that is the reason.

It's odd, as the Shaw Tower in Vancouver is residential on the top 1/2 and it's sign is right at the top.
In that image the Delta sign is also only on the hotel portion, and there are many mixed used buildings like the Sovereign in Burnaby.

Edmonton must have some obscure sign bylaws.

That excavation is moving fast. Massey Tower which, I believe started at around the same time as Stantec tower has not progressed as fast, they are still shoring around the historic bank building. Its moving very slowly.

BTW: Massey Tower will likely be ejected from this list when 45 Bay and Eau du Soliel start, so its academic anyways....

Spend more money and get things done faster. Don't think I've seen anything as fast as the Yorkdale expansion project. Oxford is definitely under pressure to get the new garage build as quickly as possible and it shows.

Yes, good point.

MOD is also preoccupied with completing the FIVE Condos project.

Massey Tower's site is also very complex due to a bunch of easements that need to be maintained.

They've started a second shift at the Stantec pit and are excavating 16 hours a day.

They want to start actual construction sometime in March. The pilings they have to set will be quite deep.

Not on the same scale really, but the deepest excavation I saw among the recent condo/hotel/office developments was Shangri-la Toronto. It went down 8 floors and it seemed to take forever to get that far. One Bloor was pretty deep as well, just notable how long it took to get down and back up again, remember that it started in June/July of 2011 and we are approaching the 4 year mark and the building is only 40 floors up, with another 35 floors to go.

Yeah it did, and it will likely not be finished for another year and a half still.
