It's wider than I thought it would be. Looks thick driving over the bay way.

Great pics Gulf. The 3rd one is a great shot. That is an angle most people do not see.

Dangit Music, you didn't pick up on my TGS reference.
Dhallass, I did a google search for "TGS" after going through all the different possibilities in my head. I knew you couldn't have been talking about "Tokyo Game Show" or "The Gargoyles Saga" or even "Texan George Supporters," but I think "Teen Girl Squad" fits just right. And now I get the reference. And it's a good'n.

P.S. Feline AIDS is the number one killer of domestic cats.

Thanks, I was pretty happy with how the pictures came out. The last picture of the tower was the only picture that I took while not in a moving vehicle, too. I just got a new digital camera so this gave me a reason to use it. The building's definetely coming along.

this isn't technically about the rsa tower, but it's sister building, the riverview plaza, appears to have commenced exterior renovation. there is a construction elevator going up the side of the lower portion of the building, and i saw heavy machinery on the thrird floor patio area from the 9th floor of government plaza today. don't know when they plan on starting that crown, but i wouldn't be surpized if they had it go up around the same time as the rsa tower's.

it seems like theyre really starting to pick up the pace on the rsa tower. the floor theyre currently working on is the last that will be made of concrete. the rest is steel so it should really pick up as they start the crown, especially since it's in larger sections

When they first proposed building the RSA Tower, what was the original height?

The original design of the building if I remember correctly was a 540 foot tall building. Once the new design came about, the height jumped to 800 feet, the final height now is 745 ft.

Dammit all, the RSA webcam has crapped out again. Last pic taken Sunday night late. The spire has to be added soon.

They are now showing shots of the exterior and interior on the hotel website:

I'm really not sure about the Riverview crown either. Somebody needs to tell them that it's pretty much almost the same size as the building itself. Maybe in person it'll look better...I hope.
