I took my son downtown to look at the tower cranes. Got this nice pic of X:

Now I really want to take him downtown again and get a look at the level luffing crane in action (and maybe pick up a few beers at the Wilderness Brewery).

Great pic! You'll have to repeat the same picture a year or two from now and see both him and the building grow!

X is hitting it's maximum height. Turned out to look taller than I thought it would. Sorry for the bad perspective. Was almost underneath it.

Monroe is going to be such a great street!

Speaking of which.. wasn't a brewery going to go into the north side of the convention center? Anyone have any update on that?

Considering all the articles I've read recently about the struggles of craft breweries I would suspect expansion plans are on hold. I've been wrong before, though.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that a zoning adjustment sign is on the SW corner of Monroe and 2nd St to reduce the minimum sidewalk width. No one answered if they knew what it was for and I couldn't find anything on it out from Phoenix.

Any chance this could be in preparation for outdoor seating for a brewery?

Did you perhaps mean SEC? It may vary well be possible. SWC puts it at the Hyatt. Not sure it matters, but just an observation...

Alright, after a little sleuthing, it looks like it may be related!

New Huss Brewing location is in partnership with City of Phoenix and Aramark (in charge of Convention Center's concessions). Still on the agenda for tomorrow's Zoning Adjustment Hearing so maybe looks like still in play...

Nice find! I hope this is for Huss. That would be a great location and would activate the block a bit...after this pandemic is over that is
