If true that would be amazing. I love how the Trillium line between Dow's lake and Bayview is really shaping up to become a true TOD corridor.

I know someone who owns an adjoining property and he was told it was starting this fall. So take it for what it's worth. It came up when I was asking him what he was planning to do with his building.

Is this one approved and shovel ready? Devapps says "file pending" and the thread title says "proposed".

Updated submission (May 2024)

https://devapps.ottawa.ca/en/applica...1-0053/details

You can see in the elevations that they have changed the layout of the charc and the white on this north tower (Tower 3). The document isn't visually friendly though.

Here are the plans for Phase 1:

Oh I didn't realized tower 3 was phase 1. That's unfortunate

Probably to shuffle tenants into the podium before renovating the bread factory and demolishing the rest.

Just got an eviction notice as I am a tenant in commercial space on Loretta Ave N, so I imagine this is going ahead.

What timeline/dates have they provided you?

If the heights still stand, 30, 33 and 35fl, it means phase 1 would be the 30fl tower at the back... A friend for Claridge Hintonburg.

CVL applying for more height. No new renderings though. From Leiper's Newletter:

Quote:
Extra height being sought at CLV Gladstone/Loretta site
CLV is seeking approval for some more height on the towers that were previously approved at - I believe - 30, 33 and 35 storeys. We've received the following from the City: "Please be advised that City staff have received Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBLA) applications for 951 Gladstone Avenue and 145 Loretta Avenue to permit three (3) high-rise buildings of 34, 38 and 40 storeys, consisting of office and retail, and approximately 496 residential parking spaces, 30 visitor parking spaces and 762 bicycle parking spaces. These proposed OPA and ZBLA applications have been submitted to amend both the West Downtown Core Secondary Plan and the current zoning to permit an increase in building heights on the subject property, from 30, 33 and 35 storeys to 34, 38 and 40 storeys. The site layout remains mostly the same from the previous rezoning approval."

The new application documents aren't up yet on Dev Apps here, but keep checking back - they should be up within a few days.

Work must be starting soon on Tower A, all the tenants at 145 Loretta Ave N have been evicted with demolition orders.

I wonder what led to CLV dumping Hobin and switching to Linebox.

Holy bland Batman! Hobin's scheme was much more playful and unique. I expect more from Linebox than an exaggerated arch over the doorways.

I much preferred the old Hobin design as well! I'm surprised because i usually find linebox to be a breath of fresh air in their design

I've seen a lot of praise elsewhere, but I don't get it. Podiums fine, but the tower seems very bland, I agree. Hoping it's just a bad rendering.

I wasn't in love with the Hobin design (though podium was also fine) but at least it was unique.
