Making progress now with the 7th floor walls and post forming and pouring. Looks like they have completed the 7th floor walls on the SE wing and have started forming the 8th floor slab which will be the roof of the SE wing. Once complete the remainder of this building will have an L shaped footprint thru to the 16th floor.

Some of the 8th floor walls are now poured along the north side. The pace should quicken now that the floorplan is just the west and north sides going up to the 16th floor with the east wing fronting Talbot St completed.

Nearly done forming for 8th floor walls and posts with only the south end of the west wing left to form. Forming for 9th floor slab progressing well along the north side and should see concrete pour by end of next week. That would be the half way point in the height of this 16s building.

First 9th floor walls and posts are now poured on the east side of north wing. Still finishing up the 8th floor walls on the south end of west wing and forming for the 9th floor slab.

Masonry contractor has made good progress installing the exterior brick veneer on the south side of the SE wing. This is the 7s wing with a 3 story podium. Some of the 12 floor walls are now poured on the north side section.

Forming is now started for 13th floor walls on the north side as they wrap up the 13th floor slab forming on the SW wing. Exterior brick is now being installed on the SE wing Talbot St facing wall.

Forming now started for the 14th floor walls along the north wing. Looks like they have now poured the west wing south end 13th floor walls. Forming for the 14th floor slab well under way and should be poured by end of next week. Masonry contractor has returned to continue the 3 story podium base brick install along Talbot St. Why they stopped making progress for 2 weeks is odd. Have also started installing the glass walls for the NE corner lobby entrance up to the 2nd floor.

Drove by this Rona on 820 Blythwood Rd. Looks like that store is closing. Anyone know what is gonna go there? Instead of starting a new thread, I think this development is close by.

I believe Rona is closing a week or so after Thanksgiving. I'm sure it will sit empty for quite a while either Rona tries to sell it if they own it, or whoever the landlord is tries to lease it.

Rona is nowhere near 661 Talbot, a better thread would probably either be a retail thread or a development rumours thread.

First of the 15th floor wall forms have now started going up on the north wing. Should have the west wing 14th floor walls wrapped up by end of next week and 15th floor slab pour. There is a step back on the south end of the west wing for the 15th and 16th floor which makes the floor plate of those floors slightly smaller.

For some reason the masonry contractor stopped work on the exterior brick install on the Talbot St facing podium with only a few more feet at the top to go?

The masonry contractor returned finally to finish up the last little bit of exterior brick work. Alot of the 15th floor walls are now poured on the north wing and they have already got some forming started for the 16th floor slab. I get the sense Drewlo is focusing their concrete forming team on this project in effort to get it complete before year end leaving the 11s building on South Carriage to wait.

I live very close to the South Carriage development. It is the slowest construction pace in world history.

Some of the 16th and final floor wall forms are now going up on the north wing which means the 16th floor slab in that section is now poured. Wrapping up the 15th floor wall pours on the west wing and should see the forming of the 16th floor slab and pour there by end of next week.
