Casoni, the 70-story Champagne-Colored, Glass-Clad Luxury Residential Tower at 989 Sixth Avenue, Tops Out Ahead of Schedule
Developed by Sioni Group in partnership with AB & Sons and Designed by C3D Architecture, the 785-Foot Project Anticipates Rental and Sales beginning in 2026

August 21, 2025

Quote:
Casoni, the 70-story curvilinear luxury residential tower at 989 Sixth Avenue in Midtown near Bryant Park, has officially topped out at its full 785-foot height—one month ahead of schedule. The champagne-colored, glass tower is now one step closer to completion, marking a major milestone in the transformation of the Garment District skyline.

Inspired by the Italian word casone, meaning “grand villas” of timeless style and craftsmanship, Casoni is being developed by Sioni Group in partnership with AB & Sons and designed by C3D Architecture. The building comprises 384,118 square feet with 311 studio-to-three-bedroom residences, including 284 rentals and 27 condominiums. Leasing and sales are expected to begin in early 2026.

The glass curtain wall is rapidly ascending the tower, giving definition to its signature cylindrical form and champagne-colored façade. Once the construction hoist comes down, installation of the glass at the lower floors will complete the exterior. Rising above Bryant Park and Midtown, the tower’s residences will offer breathtaking panoramic views of the New York City skyline, the Hudson River, and beyond.

Inside, residents will enjoy over 25,000 square feet of amenities, including wellness, fitness, social, and entertainment spaces designed for modern luxury living.
Quote:
“For our family, this milestone is especially meaningful,” said Jack Yadidi of Sioni Group. “We began in the Garment District more than three decades ago, and now to see Casoni rising here ahead of schedule is a proud moment. The tower will not only stand as an architectural landmark, but also as a reflection of our roots in this neighborhood and our vision for its future.”

With structure complete, construction will now focus on façade installation, interiors, and amenities in preparation for Casoni’s 2026 debut. REAL New York will serve as the exclusive sales and marketing brokerage.

opping out is always a proud moment, and this project is no exception. With the Doka Protection ‘cocoon’ system now being dismantled, crews can look back on months of safe, efficient progress.

A big thank you to our partners and everyone on-site who made this milestone possible. Together, we’re building safely and shaping the skyline of New York.
