Picture has had one portion modified so as to remove something that would easily identify this building - where is this building?

I said balmoral first, but realized the roof was different. Those are the only two sandstone schools I know of that are smooth faced.

No hints - you can see that it's old, so where is it?

Post up the location then.

It is quite a nice building and it's nice to see that it still exists in Calgary of all places.

I'll let someone else guess, as Speedog's is about 3 blocks from my house.

Well, I had absolutely no clue until Ramsayfarian's tip. A little panning around in Google Earth and streetview spotted the place. Now to track down Ramsayfarian's house from previous clues...

It's a pretty rare mansard roof building in Calgary, in fact off hand I can't think of what another one might be.

It's nice to see it's being maintained and probably stands very little risk of being demolished - I wonder if it's protected?

I don't know if this is well known or not. I saw it yesterday for the first time.

That's right beside Cilantro on 17th, just east of 4St SW. It's a part of the restaurant to the west of Cilantro, no idea what that place is called though.

That's been there for about a year I think, I had to stop and look at it the first time I saw it. Bar C makes sense, was trying to decipher that logo on Street view lol.

Someone else can post another one, I have one in mind but don't have time to go looking for photos, so maybe I'll do a future one.
