It's been a while, but I drove by yesterday and this building looks really massive and interesting. A photo update would be appreciated for a better look!

The location is still horrible aesthetics wise, but the building is ending up pretty nice. There is a lot going on around Hastings.

That will fix itself relatively quickly. The neighbourhood just a block off Hastings is great. Just Hastings itself is kind of crap in Strathcona, but almost everything has been snapped up by land developers like Rennie and oddly enough Chip Wilson.

The empty lots on the otherside of the train tracks are unlikely to stay empty for much longer, and so much infill is getting built or rebuilt.

I noticed the other day that the orange on the west facade is visible from our office in TD Tower downtown.

Quoting SpongeG's post in the Vancouver Videography thread. You can get some glimpses of 933 East Hastings in the background between about 1:46-2:04. It's kind of neat seeing some of the streets and alleys that I've skulked around (taking pics of 933 East Hastings) being used for a music video.

Yeah they should be putting such buildings all over West Broadway, Kits, Cambie and Main, as these areas are a lot more liveable and have the conveniences of retail and services.

The colored exterior finish mimics the look of shipping containers, which rumble past on the train tracks next to it. My pics July 8

July 17
