But you don't want to attack the main areas with all the journalists, press and broadcasters. If you killed them, who is gonna report it and give terrorists the publicity they seek ? That should be the safest area.

they are conspiracy nuts - the other video shows how the london attack video is non existant because on the day it happenned the cameras mysteriously didn't work... and there is no actual footage of the terrorists and the compnay in charge of that in london are the same company in charge of the games here and that the company is not to be trusted basically is what i got out of it

I have my own, more probable, conspiracy theory that he said something that set off alarms, so he would get denied, so they could then have this story.

Just like how they will incite reactions from police, so they can have footage of police being "aggressive"

It's a bit more plausible than a dirty bomb destroying the DTES so Concord can buy it all and develop it. Whose the nut here?

Will someone please save these people from their idiocy?

I was at a Michael Ignatieff rally in Gastown last year, and this 9/11 conspiracy theorist rushed up and yelled out that "IGNATIEFF, YOU WON'T WIN THE NEXT ELECTION WITHOUT AN INVESTIGATION ON WHAT HAPPENED ON 9/11! ALL CANADIANS WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH!"

The protest loons have begun to photograph the police officers:

more photos here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/2010observers/

Why Legal Observers?
Like many of you, the BCCLA and Pivot are concerned that with more than 7,000 police officers, 5,000 private security guards and 4,500 members of the Canadian armed forces arrive in Vancouver, their presence may get in the way of citizens’ constitutional rights to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures.

We are ready, with hundreds of volunteers trained to act as eyes and ears on the streets. Legal observers have been trained to watch for violations, and to document and report them.

About the B.C. Civil Liberties Association
The B.C. Civil Liberties Association was established in 1962 and is the oldest and most active civil liberties group in Canada. We are funded by the Law Foundation of B.C. and by citizens who believe in what we do.

We are a group of citizens who volunteer our energy and talents to fulfill our mandate: to preserve, defend, maintain and extend civil liberties and human rights in British Columbia and across Canada.

About Pivot Legal Society
Pivot Legal Society is a non-profit legal advocacy organization located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Pivot's mandate is to take a strategic approach to social change, using the law to address the root causes that undermine the quality of life of those most on the margins.

Is it weird of me to think it's cool that police are here from all over the Country ?

Must be a great experience for them. And it'll be a hell of a party after hours, especially with all the army guys in town. The army knows how to party, and there's over 10,000 of them

Whenever possible, I'll be sure to photograph the protesters.

I just don't fear the police.

Maybe it's because I'm not a disrespectful little snot, who talks to them with some attitude, whenever I'm in contact with one.

Treat people with humanity, no matter the job, and you'll get better "service". Border guards, customs agents, 7-Eleven guy, whatever.

Yep. Police are only human. There are assholes, just like anywhere else. But go in with the right attitude and you'll be fine 99.999% of the time.

I only hope there is equal or more coverage of these douchebags breaking the law in their "protests".

None of this protesting is really about the Olympics anymore. It's the exact same people that go and protest at G8 summits and APEC and all the rest of it. These are anti-globalization and anti-capitalist protesters, not homeless advocates. They just see the homeless as a convenient hook to get the media interested in their cause. The minute the Olympics are over, what are the odds you'll see any of these people actually helping the homeless find shelter or addiction services?

Zero.

Chris Shaw will move to Toronto (GOD WILLING) to continue his anti-2016 Pan am Games crusade

He needs something to do the next 6 years, after-all.

Will anyone be surprised to find him (and the other protesters) having a good time at any of the Olympic or Cultural events?

Photo proof of such hypocrisy would be terrific.

If only he could just stick to his professions of "Ophthalmology, Physiology, and Experimental Medicine" and save the world in that way instead...

He certainly takes the left wing professor stereotype to a new level.

I sat next to another one on the plane to Vancouver once. It was very "enlightening".
