When you have obscene amounts of money, you tend to live in Mount Royal or Elboya or whatever those close-to-downtown rich areas are.
When you just have a lot of money, you tend to try to live the same lifestyle, but cannot afford it, so you move way the hell out into the boonies.
Honestly, $351,000 is a lot of money and much more than my household earns, but it's not *that* much money in a city like ours. I know many couples making pretty close to that, just regular folks with 15-20 years experience in a good paying field. The trick is to get involved with someone who makes as much or more than you do - which most of us aren't lucky enough to have, sadly.
