I'm going to enjoy this win. Wow, the Canucks did they ever deserve to win this series against the Blues (just by the way they were playing overall). But I'm not going to get overly excited, because the 2nd round is going to definitely generate a tougher opponent (whoever that will be). I don't like our chances against San Jose (there is a reason why they were the best team in the NHL during the regular season), and I'd much rather have to play against Detroit (we seem to match up well against them), or Chicago. But like I've said before, to be champions, we'll have to go through some very tough teams.

GO CANUCKS GOO!!

Chances are the next opponent won't be anywhere near as pathetic as the Blues.

Seriously, 0 / 3 on the PP in OT? Seriously? In Game 4, when you could be eliminated?!

Yea, next round will most likely be a toughy....I'm thinking Detroit, with us beating them at either Game 5 or 7.

Detroit would scare me. They are so ridiculously dominant over the Columbus I actually felt really bad for Columbus.

Realistically, Anaheim will beat San Jose, Chicago will beat Calgary...

Meaning... Detroit vs. Anaheim and Vancouver vs. Chicago

and if we beat Chicago, we end up with Anaheim or Detroit anyways. Both teams scare me in playoff because they are so experienced and so physical. Canucks doesn't have a good record against those two teams, unfortunately.

How has Chicago been playing?

If we lose in round 3, we'll just start a riot.

Pretty good. They were taking it to Calgarypretty good until they pissed off Iginla in game 3.

Just saw a clip on CBC, there are a bunch of drunken nutters running up and down Robson with brooms.

Iginla has been doing his best invisibility act the last two months.

The series belongs to the Hawks.

Don't know where you've been this season, but I wouldn't say we have a terrible record this season. We went 2-2-0 with Detriot and 2-0-2 with Anaheim, although Anaheim has really picked it up in the playoffs. I think we can defeat Detroit, Anaheim is probably a bit tougher, but I'm predicting that we'll be up against Calgary or the Blackhawks next

i think they can advance to the western finals. 4-0 is a nightmare to whoever plays this team next.

True. Next opponent won't be nearly as bad as the Blues were, but you've got to give credit to Vancouver's penalty killers. The Blues coming into the postseason had the 8th best power play, and the 3rd best penalty kill in the league. The Canucks stepped it up - a lot in these series. And anything can happen in the postseason, right? Look at the series between Anaheim and San Jose (the powerhouse - supposedly). They beat the Ducks tonight 4-3, but I'm still thinking that Anaheim might actually upset the Sharks, in 6 games.

I'm a bit confused - are you saying that we'll beat the Wings in 5 games? or that we'll beat them in Game 5 of the series?

Maybe. The Flames did just win Game 3 the other day (4-2 Flames). You know that Iginla and Co., are not going to just roll over and die.

well, you never wish for any player to be injured. if you want to be the best, you've got to play against the best. having detroit have all their best players, and us beating them would be satisfactory!
