The shape of the facade reminds me of the upper portions of the Petronas Towers.

Early Rendering

Here is an early rendering I did for this project. It was designed in the San Francisco office of Skidmore Owings and Merrill. The residential buildings went through many iterations, but the pleated office tower stayed the same from the beginning.
