Yes, it's amazing how much construction is taking place around the area. Not many tall ones but sure a lot of projects. Great updates.

As much as I like highrises, I'm thrilled at the midrise density we're getting.

Because it's raining I started counting, and I got to 143 new buildings and additions (3-9 stories) in the last 20 years without even crossing 1-5. The total must approach 200 buildings in a couple thousand acres. (ps, that's 21 or 22 years of construction, because I counted completions at the beginning, and starts at the end)

That's not flashy density. But it's a big reason why Seattle feels like more of a big city than it did in 1988.

I've counted more.

Make that 154 midrises west of I-5, and 52 east of 1-5, in the same time period and 2,000 acres.

Also 76 buildings between 10-62 stories completed or underway since 1988.

I made some guesses about some, and I'm probably forgetting many.

PS, my count includes a 29-unit, six-story residential project that seems to have broken ground this week on LQA, at 222 QAAN.

199 Blaine looks plain. I do I like the wood siding and curve of the SCCA House.
In all, the lowrise infill in that area looks great.
