Why are they lifting the crane 100 feet , the tower is nearing the top , with the exception of one more floor and what apears to be a two story roof

I'd say due to visibility and maneuverability reasons. It is slated to be lifted this coming Sunday.

Driving in to downtown this am I observed that the knuckle of the crane is very close to the 9th floor forms. They still have the 10th floor, the roof of the 10th floor and then maybe the equivalent of 2 more floors of architectural structure.

I'd bet that Ag Place will be damn near as tall as FCC. Hamilton Street will look even more impressive when this one is complete.

I wish Harvard would focus on some residential developments downtown as well as them continuing with office towers. I could see what they are doing for the Lakeshore development being done downtown. I wonder if the city has approached them about that.

I also wonder when Harvard will announce their next downtown project. Hill Tower IV perhaps? Something needs to be done about the old Novia cafe section to get street front retail and restaurants back to bring traffic and life to that portion of the square. Right now it is so dismal and sad.

A nice building like Stantec's new Tower in Edmonton would be nice. Offices then residential on top. Yup Yup I agree. Maybe in the range of 30-35 stories?

Thank you for the awesome photo they put that tower up in no time , it looks as though as if it's going to be the same height as the one across the street I can't remember the name of it , it might be awhile before we see another office tower unless a miracle happens on 1855 Rose street

Right now they are working on raising the crane. They are also forming the 10th floor which is smaller than the 9th. It looks like the some of the corners are cut off.

They have added 2, with another going in now. There is one more on the ground. Sections appear to be close to 25 feet.

If anyone is wondering how this is done:
