The date on the corner stone is 1990, but it was completed in 1989. I think the NDP and Liberals had some sort of coalition thing going just before Rae took over but I'm too young to remember.

The view from some angles is kinda of odd but the Water Street side is very good I think. It's very bold and recognizable. You can barely see it from Cumberland anyway.

Sherbrooke, Qc. Once a major textile and industrial center.
It has probably the most english skyline in Canada. It looks like a city somewhere around London !

Windsor is to the left in this picture from about 12 km to the east.

In the next one from the southwest Windsor is pretty much everything to the right of the Renaissance Center, plus over half a dozen other buildings between there and the Ambassador Bridge.

I wish I had some internet skills because if I did I would put up London's stellar skyline.

Linking to the pictures URL isn't the same as linking to the webpage the photo came from. Especially when it is from Flickr, as you're unable to find out who took the photo by looking at the URL.

Look at these Saskatchewan folk flaunting their new found riches in auto depressed Windsor! (the coloring makes the license plates look as if they are from Saskatchewan)

^Very nice view Dartmouthian!

I envy you. From Bedford Halifax is just a tiny little flicker of light. Defenitely not anything that impressive.
