Is there an active proposal for this corner?
I've heard that they are opening some sort of a farmers market with local produce and meats.

Atlanta is projected to have 50 million visitors this year and has a higher growth rate than places like LA and Las Vegas:

http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/...d-to-welcome-50-million-visitors-in.html

I think the market is there.

Also updates with some permits,
Post Millennium is now awaiting final arborist approval, prelim was approved 05/04.
AMLI Arts Center has all approvals it appears and just needs some additional paperwork for the site dev. approval to be finalized.
Alexan Glenwood permit is ready to issue (when the permit is approved, but there are outstanding fees left to pay)
Broadstone Terraces has all approvals
Eviva Peachtree still in Plan coordination

I was wondering about the status of this building not long ago. It seems like the board was really quiet about Three Alliance Center even though it's a 30 story, 500,000 sq ft, LEED Gold rated building. I'm also curious as to how the Post apartment tower across the street from this building has turned out. I'm sure the Post tower has topped out by now.

Re: The Terminus Complex...

The blue lighting of Terminus 100 is gorgeous. I am interested in seeing how that blends with the green lighting of Tower Place 100. I didn't know that they were FULLY enclosing of the plaza between Terminus 100 and 10 Terminus. I thought that they were just adding wind deflectors. Does anyone have a rendering of the final product? Will there be doors facing Piedmont?

Re: SkySpire Atlanta Proposal...

If it is not above 600' tall then is there really a point? If it's short and stumpy then it will look even more kitschy than it already appears in the picture presented above. Also, where would such a "building" go? As the article from the Atlanta Business Chronicle stated, Atlanta will see 50 million visitors this year. You want to have a variety of things for these visitors but I don't know if this is the way to go. I'll have to see more information of this before I can say either "yay" or "nay".

Re: AC Hotel...

Thank you for that construction photo update Atlanta3000. That will be an appropriate scaled addition to the Phipps Plaza complex. So is the midrise apartment building (currently under construction) going up across the access drive from the AC Hotel?

Re: Quantas at HJAIA...

Thank you BGump for that explanation. I had wondered why Quantas seem to lack an east coast presence. Your explanation definitely presents a clear picture as to the challenge of bringing Quantas to HJAIA. Even being the world's busiest airport cannot overcome that challenge.

Hartsfield will have to remain content with having DL 201, the world's SECOND longest flight. Atlanta is blessed to be so well connected to the world. Thanks in part to Atlanta-based Delta Airlines.

Re: Permitting and crane updates...

Thanks for the update GeorgiaPeanuts. So no updates on 22 14th Street or 98 14th Street?

It seems like there will be at least seven cranes dotting the Midtown skyline in a 1000' radius of Peachtree St @ 10th Street in the not-too-distant future. You're seeing 1000's of new residential units materialize in such a small area. If you are in the retail business, now is the time to negotiate your long term lease.

It's in Emerson, Ga to be exact (Just south of Cartersville)-- the far distant burbs--
But I really wouldn't hold my breath on this one--

The leasing office is supposed to open soon with move-ins starting tenatively in June.

Yeah, seems like it took forever for it to come out the ground. But that area of Buckhead is so dense right now with all the new buildings.

Post Millenium - Da Future

Nice view of recent and current development

Some site a street or two over from Pharr. In the near vicinity there were a couple of other areas with dirt being moved.

Anybody know the name of this project in Lindbergh? Missed seeing the sign. I like how it's broken up and with recessed balconies.

The sign has been up for quite a while. It's not atypical for a "for sale" sign to be up like this until demolition/land disturbance happens.

Also the previous talks about this billboard forget to note that the billboard ads have changed a LOT in the past few weeks - which is pretty unusual for a billboard to change in less than 30 days.

My hunch is they're not wanting to sign long-term agreements for renting ads on this site so the ad campaigns are changing more frequently in the near-term until it finally gets taken down.

Also the billboard at Clairmont and Peachtree Blvd in Chamblee was taken down recently...so looks like some activity might start happening soon on that site.

The cycle track on 10th street in Midtown has now been striped all the way to Myrtle, essentially tripling the length. Once they put in the bollards and open the lanes, you'll be able to bike all the way from Irwin Street to Post Parkside (about 2.6 miles) only having to cross traffic once (at Monroe).
