I was wondering about the status of this building not long ago. It seems like the board was really quiet about Three Alliance Center even though it's a 30 story, 500,000 sq ft, LEED Gold rated building. I'm also curious as to how the Post apartment tower across the street from this building has turned out. I'm sure the Post tower has topped out by now.
Re: The Terminus Complex...
The blue lighting of Terminus 100 is gorgeous. I am interested in seeing how that blends with the green lighting of Tower Place 100. I didn't know that they were FULLY enclosing of the plaza between Terminus 100 and 10 Terminus. I thought that they were just adding wind deflectors. Does anyone have a rendering of the final product? Will there be doors facing Piedmont?
Re: SkySpire Atlanta Proposal...
If it is not above 600' tall then is there really a point? If it's short and stumpy then it will look even more kitschy than it already appears in the picture presented above. Also, where would such a "building" go? As the article from the Atlanta Business Chronicle stated, Atlanta will see 50 million visitors this year. You want to have a variety of things for these visitors but I don't know if this is the way to go. I'll have to see more information of this before I can say either "yay" or "nay".
Re: AC Hotel...
Thank you for that construction photo update Atlanta3000. That will be an appropriate scaled addition to the Phipps Plaza complex. So is the midrise apartment building (currently under construction) going up across the access drive from the AC Hotel?
Re: Quantas at HJAIA...
Thank you BGump for that explanation. I had wondered why Quantas seem to lack an east coast presence. Your explanation definitely presents a clear picture as to the challenge of bringing Quantas to HJAIA. Even being the world's busiest airport cannot overcome that challenge.
Hartsfield will have to remain content with having DL 201, the world's SECOND longest flight. Atlanta is blessed to be so well connected to the world. Thanks in part to Atlanta-based Delta Airlines.
Re: Permitting and crane updates...
Thanks for the update GeorgiaPeanuts. So no updates on 22 14th Street or 98 14th Street?
It seems like there will be at least seven cranes dotting the Midtown skyline in a 1000' radius of Peachtree St @ 10th Street in the not-too-distant future. You're seeing 1000's of new residential units materialize in such a small area. If you are in the retail business, now is the time to negotiate your long term lease.
