PCM posted about it a while back on their Instagram. It's a parking deck that will become the podium for a not-quite-yet-determined 16-story tower and will serve as vertical access to North Avenue. The market will determine the use more than anything.

http://clatl.com/freshloaf/archives/2015...r-lets-consider-it-midtown-alliance-says

Midtown Alliance is considering capping the connector in Midtown as part of the next iteration of Midtown Blueprint (Midtown Blueprint 3.0). Also a proposed Marta Station at 19th and Peachtree to cover North Midtown; maybe it will coerce Dewberry to do something with all his land up there if it comes to fruition, he was pushing for one with is Rhodes Tower if I recall correctly.

Also Midtown Marta vision (Not sure how realistic that is considering they have done away with the bus terminals)

I really don't understand why you can't make your photos smaller like literally everyone else in this thread.

I posted via my phone there isn't any option for smaller size when upload to imgur via phone, nor option to see thumbnails, but I changed it out now. Newer forums have auto-resize options for images don't know why this one doesn't

I see. Thank you for making the photo smaller. Makes it a lot easier for everyone to see.

Here's another photo of the Ponce sign going up

The sign looks GREAT. Really can't wait for it to open. I wonder if the rooftops will be opened to the public so I can take get some great shots.

Does anyone know when PCM OFFICIALLY opens?

I really do believe if PCM ends up living up to the hype and it becomes insanely popular, not just with local residents, but throughout the entire region that transit needs to be a priority in this area. I feel like a neighborhood will continue to develop around it so now you have high population density and a multitude of non-city people coming to it. A recipe for disaster as far as traffic.

The No. 2 bus goes there, and 16 Noble comes within a few blocks. However, a lot of folks still don't like taking the bus.

I'm not sure what the timetable is for the Beltline rail is but won't that provide access to the Inman park station?

State Farm at Park Center:
I took these yesterday. The sign said "Park Center" as the name of the development, but most people call it the new State Farm Campus. I will use State Farm at Park Center as the name for updates.

Someone asked about the MARTA Station:

Maybe they can create a shuttle from the nearby MARTA stations sort of like Atlantic Station has...that could be at least a temporary solution because it will take years to get the Beltline going.

There's a shuttle to the North Avenue Station, but it's for residents and employees only currently.

Atlantic House

Driving by the Atlantic House on the way to work this morning, I see most of the buildings (Einsten's, that sandwich restaurant) on 14th and Peachtree are demolished. The only thing that appears to be lingering is the Zip Car portion of the building. Looks like they will be done demoing very, very soon.

Connecting Atlanta to the world....

The world has become more intertwined. In order for a city's economy to grow, it MUST be connected to the world. Atlanta is blessed to have such a connected airport where direct travel is possible to FIVE continents. HJAIA even has the amazing A380 flying in and out of the airport. I know that this is transportation related but this could also lead to development as well as opening up Atlanta to the world.

Now the airport GM needs to work on getting Qantas to offer flights to and from HJAIA

QATAR Airlines set to expand to Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

From the press release:

Qatar Airways announces the next phase of its USA route development with the introduction of three new passenger routes to Los Angeles, Boston and Atlanta. With these new destinations, Qatar Airways will offer daily nonstop services to all 10 of the largest metropolitan areas of the United States.

Atlanta, Georgia, the business centre of the southeast region of the United States, will be Qatar Airways’ third new route to the US and will commence with daily flights starting on 1st July 2016. The route will be operated with the airline’s flagship Boeing 777 aircraft.

No need to be rude about it... this forum isn't exactly the model of modern usability...

They also have a free shuttle from North Ave Station.

I enjoy this forum for it's information and commentary-- not so much for its circa 1997 design--

One Museum Place

Construction is finally underway for One Museum Place in Midtown.

This is the second condo building to start construction in the Midtown market. Across the street from the venerable High Museum of Art, the units will range from $900,000 to more than $3.5 million for the 3 bed units with more than 5,300 square feet of living space. Unfortunately for some of you, most, if not all, of the larger units have SOLD. If you want in, you better act fast.

I look forward to hearing about one of the other proposed high-rise apartment buildings in the Midtown market going condo as well. Sales at both One Museum Place and the condo building on Peachtree @ 7th have been brisk.

We can now follow the progress of the construction because we have a webcam for the development.
